Change size and place reducers
Split the pipe run where the size changes and get the reducer into the quantities.
- 1
Finish the run where the size changes
Double-click at the point where the new size takes over. One pipe run carries a single size the whole way, so the change has to become two runs.
- 2
Set the new size in the panel
Change Dimension under Pipe run (“Ledning”). The text under the lists says The next pipe run you draw gets these values (“Nästa ledning du ritar får de här värdena”).
- 3
Start the next run at the same point
Click the end you have just finished at. The point snaps to the existing run as long as the material is the same.
- 4
Check the reducer that was placed automatically
When two runs of the same material meet in different sizes, a reducer (“Övergång”) is placed at the point. Connect into the middle of a run and a junction (“Grenrör”) comes with it.
Worth knowing. A reducer is only placed between runs of the same material. Change both material and size and you place the object yourself.
- 5
Place a reducer by hand
Take Object (“Objekt”), pick reducer (“Övergång”) or junction (“Grenrör”) and click at the point. The dialogue Reducer between sizes (“Övergång mellan dimensioner”) opens.
- 6
Fill in which sizes the reducer joins
From (“Från”) and To (“Till”) come pre-filled from the run nearest the point. Put them right if they came out wrong, pick Material and press Save reducer (“Spara övergång”).
Worth knowing. Pick the same size on both sides and no size change is saved — the object stays on the drawing, but with no reducer.
- 7
Change a reducer afterwards
Click the object row in Drawn and measured (“Ritat och mätt”) and press Edit reducer (“Ändra övergång”). The same dialogue opens again.
- 8
Change the size on a run that is already drawn
Open the row of the run in Drawn and measured (“Ritat och mätt”) and change Dimension there. The bill of quantities is recalculated straight away.
Worth knowing. The reducers are not recalculated when you change a finished run — they were placed when the run was drawn. Go through them in Drawn and measured (“Ritat och mätt”) afterwards.
