Upload a drawing
Get a PDF or an image into the tool and have the drawing on screen.
- 1
Open the tool
Press Open the tool (“Öppna verktyget”). You land on an empty canvas with the dashed box Drop your drawing here (“Dra in din ritning här”).
- 2
Drag the file in
Drag the drawing from your computer and drop it in the box. If you would rather browse for the file, the button Choose a file from your computer (“Välj fil från datorn”) is in the same box.

The starting point: drop the drawing here, or open the sample drawing. Worth knowing. PDF, PNG and JPG all work. The drawing stays in your browser while you work — it is only uploaded when you save the project.
- 3
Wait for the page to be drawn up
If it is a PDF, the first page is rendered on the canvas. The file name goes at the top of the page and the tool jumps to Scale (“Skala”) on its own.
- 4
Set the scale before you draw anything
Pipe run (“Ledning”), Object (“Objekt”), Area (“Yta”), Fill area (“Fyll yta”), Measure (“Mäta”) and Arc (“Båge”) are greyed out until the drawing has a scale. The panel on the right is headed 2. Set the scale (“2. Sätt skalan”).
Worth knowing. Without a scale the tool does not know how long a line is, so no length can be worked out.
- 5
Open the sample drawing if you have no file
The button Open the sample drawing (“Öppna testritningen”) in the upload box puts in a ready-made drawing where the scale is already set, so you can start drawing straight away.
- 6
Swap the drawing if you picked the wrong file
Press Swap drawing (“Byt ritning”) next to the file name at the top and choose a new file.
Worth knowing. Swap drawing (“Byt ritning”) resets the project — everything you drew on the old drawing is gone. If you only want to add a floor, use Add drawing (“Lägg till ritning”) instead.
- 7
Save the project
Press Save project (“Spara projekt”) and give the project a name. After that the button just says Save (“Spara”), and the project also saves itself every minute.
